Welcome aboard the Lit Fest, Rotary Club of Wyndham Harbour and Rotary Club of Werribee!
Many thanks to the Rotary Clubs of Wyndham Harbour and Werribee, who have combined to provide additional sponsorship of the Jennifer Burbidge Short Story Award in 2023, which will help ensure its future. They were attracted by the Award’s unique mission — to encourage Australian writing on the theme of disability.
The Jennifer Burbidge Short Story Award was established in 2001 by the late Mary and Andrew Burbidge to honour the life of their eldest daughter, Jennifer, who passed away aged 21. The prize welcomes short stories of fiction or non-fiction of up to 3000 words on the theme of disability.
