Sally Rippin


Sally Rippin was born in Darwin, but grew up mainly in South-East Asia. As a young adult she lived in China for three years, studying traditional Chinese painting. She has over sixty books published, many of them award-winning, including the best-selling Billie B Brown series, which has sold more than three million copies since first published. She has a regular program on 3RRR interviewing children’s authors and industry professionals and is the co-founder of Story Peddlers, a roving storyteller’s tent. She is a passionate ambassador for the 100 Story Building creative writing centre and has mentored many emerging writers and illustrators. In 2017, Sally will launch the first book in a new series called Polly and Buster – The Wayward Witch and The Feelings Monster and a new imprint with Bonnier Publishing called Sally Rippin Presents.
