Jenny Ackland is a writer and teacher who lives in Melbourne. Her short fiction and essays have been published in literary journals (Kill Your Darlings, Sleepers Almanac, The Big Issue and Visible Ink), and listed in prizes in Australia (Voiceless) and internationally (The Bridport Prize and Fish, both in the UK).
Her debut novel, The Secret Son, was published by Allen & Unwin in 2015, and was well-reviewed in the mainstream press and received a commendation in the FAW National Literary Christina Stead Award. Jenny’s second novel, Little Gods, is due to be published by Allen &Uunwin in early 2018. Little Gods is set in the Mallee region of Victoria and is about resilience and revenge.
