A lively, thought-provoking session. Ably hosted by Enza Gandolfo from Victoria University, discussion was generous, wide-ranging and articulate. From different perspectives, Renata and Melanie illuminated numerous aspects of ageing in an era when many of us may live into our 90s. The conversation covered such issues as the risks and benefits of age and frailty, the opportunities and injustices, the stereotypes and responsibilities that we may face, or are already facing. On the need for change, for social connection, meaningful relationships, suitable housing and adequate income, the audience was engaged and also had plenty to say –a sure sign that the session hit the mark!
