Nicole Haye’s debut young adult release, The Whole of My World (Random House 2013) was the first “footy novel” featuring a girl. It was longlisted for the 2014 Gold Inky Award, and shortlisted for the 2014 YABBAs. Her second young adult novel, One True Thing (2015) is about music, politics, and secrets, and was awarded the 2015 Children’s Peace Literature Award.
Most recently, she co-edited an anthology of writing about AFL with Alicia Sometimes, From the Outer: Footy like you’ve never heard it (Black Inc 2016). She runs writing workshops for different organisations, is a Stella Prize Schools Program ambassador, and is a member of the first all-women AFL podcast, The Outer Sanctum Podcast: Nicole tweets at @nichmelbourne.
