With a diverse range of scholarly interests that spans Beat scholarship, London punk, Romanticism, Roman Britain and Hadrian’s Wall, Walter and Marion Mahony Griffin, Charles Dickens, RL Stevenson, HP Lovecraft’s universe, and the car crash in Australian cinema, Dr Michael Kitson is an independent scholar, published writer of fiction, film essays and cinema journalism; as well as a career bookseller and university lecturer in creative writing, literature, editing and publishing.
