This event is SOLD OUT!
Writer and walker Nick Gadd has spent two years walking around Melbourne and its suburbs in a big circle, writing as he goes. On the way he has uncovered ghostsigns, lost greyhound racing tracks, derelict factories, modernist masterpieces, murders, mysteries, and voices from the past. Accompanied by photographs, and inspired by psychogeography, this session will discuss how investigations of suburban places can be a trigger for creative writing. Join Nick as he discusses how exploration on foot can inspire creative writing. Find out how ordinary places become sites of unexpected mystery when you get out of your car, take to the streets and open your eyes.
