This special festival pre-event is proudly presented by Homegrown Hobsons Bay.

Books hold fate-changing moments of communication between writers and readers. They can inspire, inform and turn our lives around.  Join with our Homegrown Hobsons Bay writers, Geoff Dougall, Fiona Swee-Lin Price, Serge Jones and Sherryl Clark as they share those pivotal books that shaped their lives and writing.

Hear stories of poignancy and humour; of recognition and challenge; of wonder and amazement at the books that changed lives.

Homegrown Hobsons Bay is an innovative program to celebrate and to grow the potential and reach of, writers from Hobsons Bay. Homegrown writers are featured in a database, and their titles are clearly identified within Hobsons Bay libraries with the Homegrown branding. You can read more about our wonderful local authors here.
