Stuart Kells Willy Lit Fest

Author and bibliophile Dr Stuart Kells will discuss what makes a book rare, desirable and valuable. Participants can bring along a book from their own collection for discussion and appraisal.  Stuart speaks regularly on the history and value of printed books, and we’re delighted to be welcoming him back to Williamstown! Stuart wrote Rare: A Life among Antiquarian Books and has published a series of books about books including the epic Australian Book Collectors.

He speaks regularly and enthusiastically on the history and value of printed books, including at Clunes Booktown, Melbourne Rare Book Week and Duneira.  His latest book, Penguin and the Lane Brothers, recently won the 2015 Ashurst Business Literature Prize. Stuart will be speaking with Dmetri Kakmi at the festival about Penguin and the Lane Brothers: The Untold Story of a Publishing Revolution
